Central Station Monitoring

Citadel’s Central Monitoring Station is company owned and operated exclusively for Citadel alarm customers, and monitors your home electronically 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In just seconds after activation, crucial information is transmitted either digitally through telephone lines or via a radio signal to our central station. Emergency information appears on the central station operator’s screen for verification and dispatch. Proper passwords enable homeowners to abort mistakes they might make, so that false alarms fines are practically eliminated.  When an alarm activates, the Central Monitoring Station can pinpoint the exact door or window of the burglary attempt. If the burglar is still inside the home, repeated alarms will be sent as the burglar walks through interior motion detectors. Our dispatcher can relay this critical information to the police to direct them to the door or window of the intrusion. At the premises, the alarm system automatically resets and prepares itself for another burglary attempt.

Insurance Benefits

Insurance companies that issue homeowners policies encourage people to invest in home alarm systems. They recognize that alarms are effective in reducing the risk of burglary, which means fewer claims. That’s why they issue the highest discounts to alarm systems that report to a UL listed Central Station such as Citadel’s. Generally, the savings on your homeowner’s insurance are in the area of 10% to 20%. Citadel is listed with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. as a UL Listed Central Station, number 404519-001.
