Property losses due to environmental hazards such as water leakage, low temperature, and AC power failures are as serious as those from burglary and fire.
WATER OVERFLOW
Water damage from a failed sump pump or condensate pump can cause extensive damage. A sensor probe can be located within the sump pump well that activates at a specified water height.
A surface water sensor is also available to be located near washing machines and laundry areas. A thin film of water bridging the sensor probe is all that is needed to initiate the alarm condition.
The alarm keypad will annunciate a warning tone, the Central Monitoring Station can be notified, and the homeowner can receive a text alert with “Total Connect”.
HI/LO TEMPERATURE ALERT
Failed heating systems and cold temperatures can cause pipes to burst, especially at unattended vacation homes. A low temperature sensor can notify Citadel’s Central Monitoring Station or text alert the homeowner with “Total Connect”.
For freezer applications, a remote probe can be located in the freezer to detect high temperature.
The temperature setpoint is selectable and can be modified to accommodate freezer defrost cycling.
AC POWER LOSS
If you rely on electricity for the operation of essential equipment, a power failure can mean more than an inconvenience. Gone undetected, a power failure can cause that sump pump to fail or cause food in the basement freezers to spoil. Notification by the Central Monitoring Station or text alert with “Total Connect” can call attention to the problem before it’s too late.
